I got killed in the first hour in Hellfire Ramparts, haha that really set me straight. I was guild tank, rocking my Thunderfury and thinking i was god. Release of BC was chaos, Hellfire Peninsula was swamped with thousands of people, alliance and horde just destroying eachother, such a great time. We stayed close but a lot of us were upset in hearing no more 40 man raids. You had to be to get shit done, everyone had to be on the same page, no bs was allowed in Naxx, not by our choice but if you wanted loot you had to focus! Shit was insane by this point, people I had played with from beginning now getting married and having kids, right around when BC was released. We all stayed very close, like a 40 person family. When Nax 40 came out we were pretty geared, a lot of us went Rank 14 in pvp as well, getting High Warlord together and helping others farm it up, it was a very esclusive group and it was such a great time. I remember raiding 5 hours a night for 7 days a week during MC/BWL/AQ20/40 days. We formed one of the first raiding guilds on the server when I hit 60, started in ZG and eventually Rag was released, 40man MC was some shit. I was hearing about raids and they just blew my mind. I leveled slowly at first, I was 50 when my friends hit 60 without me, and then the stories started. The first month was weird, playing MMORPG was a lot different than grinding in D2, slow as fuck and it pissed me off questing and doing weird bunny/pig/hog/ killing quests, but I powered through it unsure of where it was going to take me. I bought it at release with my D2 friends /WC3 friends and we all started Horde side on Chromaggus.īeing a lifelong warrior/barbarian player I clearly chose warrior Tauren as my first character (only character until I made a few twinks) So playing WoW was just a natural progression of things for me, I was used to the fast pace of chaos/baal runs from D2 or SCBW matches so it took some time for me to get used to WoW in the early days.
